With the new ACE-3901 SDI/IP gateway as a centerpiece introduction, Grass Valley is showcasing an ambitious set of innovations at NAB Show

NAB Show 2025 sees Grass Valley introducing an ambitious range of innovations, with a lineup of new and expanded hybrid media, orchestration, and processing solutions. The company is unveiling seven brand new solutions, spearheaded by the marquee launch of the ACE-3901, the industry’s highest-density SDI/IP gateway.

Alongside these new introductions, the company is showcasing major advancements in hybrid orchestration with GV Orbit, plus new AMPP OS-based applications for timing, redundancy and multiviewing, giving media organizations the most scalable and flexible workflows for modern live production.

“As the industry shifts toward hybrid workflows and cloud-powered operations, broadcasters need solutions that seamlessly connect and orchestrate SDI, IP, and virtualized production environments on-premises and in the cloud,” explains Adam Marshall, Chief Product Officer at Grass Valley. “At NAB Show, Grass Valley is delivering on this promise with a range of breakthrough new products and major upgrades to our portfolio.”

Brand New for NAB Show 2025

The pioneering new innovations are led by the ACE-3901. ACE-3901 is the marketplace’s highest density SDI/IP gateway, supporting up to 384 SDI-to-IP transitions per 4 RU, offering media companies a scalable efficient path to full ST 2110 adoption. It features dual 100/200 GbE interfaces with SMPTE ST 2022-7 redundancy and integrates fully with the GV Orbit orchestration platform for centralized configuration, control, and monitoring.

“Grass Valleys new introductions truly are market-leading innovations and demonstrate that we’re leading the charge in delivering scalable, intelligent, and future-proof live production solutions for media organizations as they navigate the transition to hybrid operations,” adds Marshall. “The new ACE-3901 removes the biggest barriers to high-density SDI/IP transitions, enabling seamless transition to ST 2110 workflows at scale, while being developed with the GV Media Universe in mind, for flexible remote management and control.”

Also new for NAB Show is the Kaleido-IP X Professional: a fully customizable AMPP-based multiviewer, capable of handling SDI, ST 2110, NDI, RIST, SRT, RTMP, and MPEG-TS. It comes with advanced probing and real-time signal analysis to actively detect and alert operators to issues across multiple formats.

Densité X ACO (Advanced Changeover) is a real-time backup system for AMPP signal paths, providing error detection, logical switching, and clean failover workflows, while Densité X Timers is a video-based timing tool, offering three fully configurable timers for event coordination and duration tracking in live production.

The next generation of AMPP compute is launched in the form of AMPP Edge Standard, Pro and Ultra, which deliver more processing capability, increased flexibility, and optimized cost-performance balance.

The Future of Cross-Platform Orchestration

Alongside the new product launches, Grass Valley is showcasing major enhancements to its existing portfolio of market-leading cross-platform orchestration solutions.

GV Orbit and AMPP Orchestration have come together to form the industry’s most advanced hybrid cross-platform orchestration solution. Recent innovations integrate hardware, software, and cloud-based monitoring and control to create a unified orchestration solution. New for NAB Show is the GV Orbit Protocol Translator, which enables increased third-party router protocol interoperability. Ever more exciting is our combining of the best of GV Orbit and AMPP Orchestration into a cutting-edge mechanism for monitoring and controlling Densité processing hardware, Kaleido hardware and AMPP-based multiviewers, Sirius SDI routers, and third-party hardware into a single, unified orchestration layer.

Also, now released, shipping today, and on display is the ATP-2100 Family of next-generation touchscreen-enabled control panels. These panels bridge the tactile feel of physical buttons traditionally seen in router control panels with dynamic, software-based touchscreens capable of displaying everything from text to thumbnails, to AMPP flow monitors with real-time video preview for use in AMPP-based productions. Available in five form factors for maximum flexibility, the ATP-2100 Family features enhanced dynamic layouts and paging, allowing operators to reconfigure them instantly. Offering full AMPP integration, these hardware control panels ensure seamless transitions between hardware-based and cloud-based control workflows with a familiar but infinitely configurable user experience.

“What we’re showcasing at NAB Show 2025 represents our most ambitious range of innovations to date,” says Lee Buchanan, VP of Networking. “With our brand new innovations and enhancements to our portfolio, we’re proud to be leading the industry in delivering flexible, scalable, efficient live production workflows for media companies globally.”
