nxtedition will showcase its unified production platform at CABSAT 2025, featuring advanced AI automation, open-source integrations and a seamless approach to live production control. Built around a powerful microservices architecture, the nxtedition platform enables broadcasters to deliver high-impact storytelling with speed, efficiency and creative freedom.
Visitors will see how nxtedition’s integrated software environment supports AI Agents and AI Commands to enhance newsroom operations. These agents operate in the background to automate key editorial tasks, suggesting content titles, generating social media descriptions, adapting scripts for different audiences, and even fact-checking material. The AI tools run entirely within the nxtedition platform using open-source models such as OpenAI Whisper and Meta’s Llama 3, with no cloud or third-party processing costs.
“AI can drive huge productivity gains, when it’s deployed in the right way,” said Adam Leah, Creative Director at nxtedition. “Our approach embeds AI directly into the workflow without adding cost or complexity. At CABSAT, we’ll show how it’s possible to deliver more news, faster, without increasing the workload.”
Also, on show is nxtedition’s award-winning studio gallery demonstration, controlled by an XR headset, which illustrates how the platform supports flexible and location-independent production. By decoupling the operator from the physical studio, the system allows production teams to work wherever they are needed.
nxtedition’s platform combines scripting, media management, automation, editing and publishing into a single environment. It also includes native integration with DaVinci Resolve and API access to third-party tools like Mapcreator and Melodie, giving journalists access to rich features without stepping outside the platform.
