Leyard Europe, a leading manufacturer of professional digital displays, video walls, and visualisation solutions across Europe, today announced it will showcase its broadcast-focused LED display solutions at IBC 2026, with Planar® DirectLight® Pro Series video walls taking centre stage within a live studio production environment on Stand 9.D01.
Designed for demanding studio and on-camera applications, the Planar DirectLight Pro Series combines fine pixel pitch technology with high brightness, high refresh rates, HDR support, excellent image uniformity and front-serviceable design. At IBC 2026, visitors will see two DirectLight Pro displays integrated into a live studio environment, demonstrating the performance and flexibility required for broadcast, television studio and on-camera applications.
The DirectLight Pro Series features a 0.9mm pixel pitch and premium image quality make it ideal for close-camera applications. The display offers brightness of up to 1,000 nits, a refresh rate of 3,840Hz, a contrast ratio of 10,000:1, greater than 93% DCI-P3 colour gamut and HDR support, alongside ≥97% brightness and colour uniformity. With viewing angles of greater than 170° horizontally and 140° vertically, the display is designed to maintain consistent visual performance across a wide range of viewing positions.
For studio environments, fan-less operation with acoustic noise below 30 dBA helps minimise unwanted noise around sound-sensitive production areas, while front service access and a 100,000-hour rated lifetime support long-term, reliable operation.
For broadcasters, the solution also combines performance with practical installation and maintenance benefits. DirectLight Pro Series features front service access, supported by a module locking mechanism, while its 45° bevelled cabinet edges enable displays to wrap around 90° corners, supporting more creative studio configurations. Made in Europe at Leyard Europe’s factory in Presov, Slovakia, the range provides European customers with stable pricing, short delivery times and consistent quality.
DirectLight Pro in a live studio environment
At IBC 2026, the primary DirectLight Pro installation will comprise a 12 x 6 cabinet display, providing the main visual backdrop to the live studio environment. A second 4 x 6 cabinet DirectLight Pro display will be positioned to the side in portrait configuration, while a curved LN Series LED banner will wrap around the front and sides of the studio.
Together, the displays will demonstrate how LED can be integrated into sophisticated studio environments where image quality, colour consistency, reliability and camera performance are critical.
The DirectLight Pro displays will form part of a wider live production demonstration hosted by KST Moschkau, bringing together Leyard Europe, Panasonic and Brompton Technology to demonstrate how display, processing, production and studio automation technologies can operate together within an IP-based production environment.
Bringing the complete production environment together
KST Moschkau will provide the backbone of the demonstration through its CamBot studio automation platform, free-roaming robotics including KST-Mantis and KST-Elevion, and systems integration expertise.
Panasonic will supply its KAIROS live production platform alongside PTZ and studio cameras, while Brompton Technology will provide the LED processing, supporting the low-latency and colour-accurate performance required for the camera-ready displays.
Leyard Europe completes the visualisation element of the environment with the DirectLight Pro video walls and curved LN Series banner.
The combined demonstration will provide visitors with an opportunity to experience the display solutions within a functioning studio production environment, rather than viewing the technology in isolation.

The wider demonstration will also showcase an end-to-end ST 2110 workflow, illustrating how the different technologies can work together across camera acquisition, studio automation, live production, LED processing and visualisation.
Visitors to Stand 9.D01 will be able to experience the live production environment throughout IBC 2026, including guest presenters, panels and interviews, and see the Planar DirectLight Pro Series displays operating as part of a live studio production.
