Accedo, the global video solutions provider, has worked with Janson Media to deploy its new media streaming service, JANSON TV.
The service is powered by Accedo One, Accedo’s SaaS platform for white-label OTT multi-screen video services.
With well over 23,000 hours of content available, Janson Media is one of the largest digital content aggregators in the world.
Specializing in worldwide digital, television, and non-theatrical distribution, the company has a global reach, having licensed content to virtually every country in the world.
Building on the momentum from established distribution relationships with Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, Peacock, Tubi, Pluto, and others, Janson Media is now taking their content direct-to-consumer.
With a subscriber base on YouTube of over 6 million globally and a growing audience on its FAST channels, Janson selected Accedo One to help optimize and expand its reach, delivering its streaming service to Web, Roku and FireTV apps, with plans to expand further in the future.
JANSON TV launches as a pure play AVOD platform with embedded Live TV streaming, monetized by the company’s own robust programmatic ad server.
Content hubs on the new platform include several Janson-owned or managed brands and channels, including cultural icon Bob Ross, celebrity-chef food and cooking channel Hungry, and the kids pre-school brand Giggle Mug.
Accedo One is a SaaS platform that enables media companies to deliver impactful video experiences across multiple devices.
It offers users the ability to quickly configure and launch branded streaming applications on the most popular OTT platforms, including web, mobile, and Connected TV devices.
It also provides an extensive marketplace of pre-integrated partner vendors, so that companies can select best-of-breed partners to complete their technology stack without writing a single line of code.
Furthermore, Accedo One’s visual WYSIWYG editor allows the company’s editorial team to easily curate content and manage the user interface across platforms.
Jesse Janson, Executive Vice-President of Acquisitions & Development for Janson Media commented: “We were keen to launch our own consumer-facing streaming service to give viewers access to our wide range of content across multiple platforms.
“It was important that we could leverage existing investments in video delivery and ad-serving technology while delivering an engaging and intuitive user experience for consumers, and ensuring we can grow the service as required.
“Accedo One’s evolving feature and functionality roadmap and best-of-breed vendor marketplace has enabled us to do just that.”
Fredrik Andersson, SVP Products, Accedo added: “Janson Media has a broad content library spanning multiple genres. With this service, the company is giving consumers a simple way to access their favorite content.
“At the same time, Janson places a great deal of emphasis on user experience, which is crucial for keeping viewers engaged.”
