Broadcast Solutions the leading systems integration group, has launched a new business, aimed at providing consultancy and design services across the media industry. Broadcast Solutions Connect is the result of a merger between Thum + Mahr GmbH, a systems integration specialist which was already part of the group and Broadcast Solutions Produkte und Service GmbH.

The new business will be based in Monheim am Rhein, with another office in Frankfurt and representatives in the UK and France. The company focuses on providing specialised services for the broadcast and media industry, including consulting, system architecture and workflow solutions, project management, managed services, coaching and support, coupled with a range of professional broadcast equipment. The goal is to provide strong partnerships, bringing together the various capabilities of Broadcast Solutions and its customers.

Heading Broadcast Solutions Connect will be Maximilian Breder, Co-CEO of the Broadcast Solutions Group. He is joined in the leadership group by Bernhard Steinhoff, formerly COO of Thum + Mahr, and by Martin Schwöri, formerly COO of Broadcast Solutions Produkte und Service.

“By combining forces we are bringing a broad range of skills into a focused, targeted unit,” Maximilian Breder said. “From key locations we look to the worldwide market, driving forward the core Broadcast Solutions values of practicality, innovation and reliability. Broadcast Solutions Connect will work alongside our colleagues in system integration, providing the best practical solutions to our valued customers.”

Martin Schwöri added, “We will of course continue to offer our products for sale, and support those who use them. What this new venture emphasises is our goal of ensuring we identify the real requirements of our clients, digging deep into their operations and their goals, and finding the best way to reach those goals.”

Bernhard Steinhoff said, “By bringing the combined experience from Broadcast Solutions Produkte und Service and Thum + Mahr into a single pool, we can greatly enhance our offering and really deliver value. It also gives us a larger workforce with an even greater spread of skills, giving us the flexibility to tailor our services precisely to the needs of each project.”

Broadcast Solutions Connect will have an initial workforce of around 20 people, and will commence operations beginning 2026.
