Direct connectivity between planning, production and graphics for creativity and streamlined workflows

IBC 2026 will see a unique and powerful demonstration spanning pre-production and live delivery, thanks to a new and close collaboration between FOR-A, CuePilot and FOR-A’s graphics partner ClassX. Working in combination, this system transforms the production of live events and television, giving full rein to creativity with confidence that it can be delivered in real time.
CuePilot is a widely used software platform that allows producers to pre-visualize every aspect of a show, building from reference material to defining camera positions and moves, lighting changes and audio cues into a single timeline. Going into rehearsal, all the technical documentation such as camera cards and cue lists are collaboratively prepared, and camera operators and the production team can follow their cues inCueApp on iOS or Android.
The IBC demonstration takes this a stage further by showcasing a production center workflow that delivers a live, real-time, minimal latency integration between CuePilot, the MixBoard® software-based switcherpowered by ClassX, and the ClassX LiveBoard graphics generator. The result is that moving through the CuePilot timeline drives automated scene changes, layout recalls, graphics activation and media playback. Producers can organize their plans in pre-production, then see them realized automatically.
CuePilot was created by Per Zachariassen, internationally acclaimed director, who saw the need for tools to deliver precision and consistency in live broadcasts. “My vision was to create the first ever dedicated software for live television and events. This collaboration with FOR-A is an exciting development of that concept, bringing technologies together while keeping the focus on the creative and everyone on the same page.”
Fabio Varolo, sales manager Europe for FOR-A, added, “The FOR-A goal at IBC this year is to give creative producers and directors the freedom to go beyond the technology to realize their vision. By partnering with CuePilot we have opened up the potential for new, rich content which can be delivered with reduced rehearsal time on set, and thus reduced costs, making for better television.”
