AI, graphics and virtual software power new production capabilities

FOR-A is bringing remarkable new technologies to FOMEX, the Future of Media Exhibition (exhibiting in partnership with Future Art Broadcast Trading on booth 103, Riyadh Hilton, 2 – 4 February). These products show how FOR-A is matching more than 50 years’ experience in media technology by partnering with developers of some of the most advanced concepts to deliver proven, practical solutions to today’s media challenges.

viztrick AiDi builds on technology developed by Nippon TV. It uses real time AI, running on a tablet, to create valuable sports graphics including player tracking, face tagging, object recognition and motion data analytics, alongside telestration and scoring. It also provides live cropping to 9:16 for social media streaming, precisely tracking athletes.

NBC Sports, one of the biggest sports networks in the USA, has already committed to deploy viztrick AiDi for sports event this year. Tim Canary, senior vice president of engineering for NBC Sports said “AiDi uniquely provides real time processing with minimal delay, which is key for live sports content. It was designed and developed by broadcasters, so it solves the specific challenges we face every day.”

MixBoard ® powered by ClassX, using the powerful graphics engine to create a completely virtual production switcher for up to 24 video inputs and 4 independent outputs. The intuitive GUI allows users to create complex workflows with unlimited video layers. It also has a built-in multiviewer composition tool, allowing operators to design their own monitor walls.

When it was launched, MixBoard won the Best of Show Award at IBC 2024, underscoring its innovative approach and its potential to reshape the production landscape.

Also on show at FOMEX 2026 is the HVS-490, the latest production switcher in FOR-A’s acclaimed HANABI family. This compact switcher still offers all that today’s media companies demand, including native 4k signals and a flexible processing platform that offers up to 6 M/E performance and 12 keyers as optional configurations. With an optional card, it also supports NDI, making it practical to produce from IP and baseband signals without the need for ancillary hardware.

As well as FOR-A products, partner solutions are also going to be on the booth. The Insight Production Server is an application running on FOR-A’s platform, developed by Odyssey Development. It provides easy media management and is designed to be integrated tightly into studio workflows. Described as the most user-friendly slow-motion replay system on the market, Envivo Replay provides all the production server requirements demanded of broadcasters. Because it is designed as a cost-effective, software-based tool it opens up a whole range of other applications such as a coaching and analysis tool for sports centers or a simple way to create instant content for stadium screens and digital signage.

“FOMEX is a show about the future of media technology,” said Mohammed Abu Ziyadeh, Regional Manager, FOR-A Middle East and Africa. “That is why we are showing equipment that is cutting edge, but also proven in the most demanding applications. FOR-A has a reputation for reliability and resilience in everything it does, and the products we are featuring have outstanding advanced features, all recognized by leading media enterprises around the world to deliver all they promise and more.”
