Globecast’s new facility in Westlake Village, California offers a cloud-based platform providing fully redundant playout capabilities, with RACER Network uploading approximately 2TB of file-based content monthly from AWS S3 storage service to Globecast’s MCR for scheduling, monitoring, quality control and reporting. In addition to satellite distribution, Globecast manages the channel delivery to major OTT platforms such as YouTube TV and Hulu.

These will be delivered to Globecast via terrestrial, satellite or IP sources from the live event venues. Globecast’s master control provides ingestion and switching between automated playback during server-based programming and manual switching during RACER Network’s live events.
“We are delighted to partner with RACER Network and bring our full suite of media management capabilities to power their linear, OTT distribution and live event broadcasts,” said Neil Butterfield, Director of Sales & Director of Live Events, Globecast. “Our new facility in Westlake Village is designed for advanced video services including cloud playout and live production that will provide RACER Network with a seamless and future-proof workflow to maximize monetization and quality of service across platforms.
