Content Exchange now fully powered by OCI, with Premier Padel as first live production deployment
Globecast, a leading provider of broadcast, media, and entertainment managed services, today announced the integration of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) into its Content Exchange platform. Globecast will showcase Content Exchange as part of its reimagined approach to media operations at NAB Show 2026 (booth #W3335).
The collaboration sees Content Exchange fully leveraging OCI’s global cloud infrastructure to deliver scalable, high-performance media transport. The deployment moves beyond initial platform introduction and into real-world production, with Premier Padel becoming the first major live use case.
Content Exchange operates as Globecast’s intelligent media orchestration layer, unifying satellite, fiber, IP, and cloud workflows into a single, flexible environment. With OCI at its core, the platform benefits from enhanced network reliability, low latency performance, and cost-efficient data movement, all critical for modern live and file-based media operations.
Premier Padel, the world’s leading professional padel tour, is the first organization to deploy Content Exchange on OCI in a full production environment. By transitioning from traditional satellite distribution to a fully IP and cloud-based model, Premier Padel can scale its global content delivery, manage multiple live feeds, and tailor outputs to diverse rights holders with greater efficiency.
This deployment demonstrates how Globecast is enabling broadcasters and content owners to move from legacy infrastructure towards more agile, cloud-driven workflows without compromising reliability or performance.
“Integrating Oracle Cloud Infrastructure into Content Exchange represents a major step forward in delivering truly flexible and scalable media operations,” said Jean-Christophe Perier, Chief Marketing Officer at Globecast. “With Premier Padel now live, we are demonstrating how customers can confidently transition to cloud-enabled distribution while maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability.”
OCI’s infrastructure plays a central role in supporting this transformation. Its purpose-built cloud for media workloads provides the performance and economics required to handle large volumes of video content, enabling customers to optimize operational efficiency and cost management.
“Working with Globecast to support Content Exchange demonstrates how Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is enabling media companies to modernize their operations with confidence,” said Kip Schauer, Media Partnerships, OCI Media Services. “By combining high-performance networking, low latency, and cost-efficient data movement, OCI provides the foundation required to deliver live content at global scale. The successful deployment with Premier Padel highlights how organizations can transition to cloud-based workflows while maintaining the reliability and quality the industry demands.”
By combining Globecast’s expertise in managed media services with OCI’s cloud capabilities, Content Exchange delivers a practical pathway for organizations navigating increasingly complex hybrid workflows. It allows customers to seamlessly integrate existing systems while adopting new technologies at their own pace.
