Gravity Media powers Lifted Entertainment’s I’m A Celebrity… The Wild Frontier, withrapid-deployment IP production infrastructure

New production builds on almost two decades of partnership with ITV, showcasing Gravity
Media’s diPloy system for fast, flexible deployment in remote locations

Gravity Media, a leading provider of production and content, and media services and facilities,
has rapidly deployed complete IP-based broadcast infrastructure for Lifted Entertainment (part
of ITV Studios) on I’m A Celebrity… The Wild Frontier, supporting production in the remote
mountain environment of Whistler, British Columbia.

GIven this logistically demanding location, I’m A Celebrity… The Wild Frontier required a
technical partner capable of rapidly establishing broadcast facilities without compromising the
production quality expected of a flagship ITV Studios’ entertainment format.

Delivering 64 cameras in a remote and challenging environment represented a significant
undertaking. Following the project award earlier this year, the team moved quickly from contract
award to mobilisation, detailed planning, coordination and collaboration were essential to ensure
the complex installation was ready for production.

The remote location presented an additional challenge. Moving cameras, equipment, materials
and personnel across this remote area required careful planning, flexibility and close
collaboration across the Gravity Media and Lifted team.

Despite the demanding conditions and tight timeframe, the team successfully delivered the
installation, demonstrating its ability to combine technical expertise, operational agility and
meticulous planning to deliver a large-scale broadcast solution in a highly challenging
environment.

Gravity Media is providing the production’s core IP infrastructure, engineering expertise and
operational support from its global teams. At the heart of the deployment is its Belgium-based
diPloy system, Gravity Media’s proprietary IP-based production environment, which enables
complete broadcast infrastructure to be commissioned quickly, scaled as production
requirements evolve and operated reliably in remote, logistically complex environments.

The project builds on a relationship between Gravity Media and Lifted spanning almost 20 years
across multiple I’m A Celebrity productions and other major entertainment formats. As the
format expands into a new environment, Gravity Media continues to provide the scalable
broadcast infrastructure that allows creative teams to focus on delivering the programme.

Kate Rendle, Global Sales Director at Gravity Media said:
“We’re proud to continue our partnership with ITV Studios as I’m A Celebrity enters a new
chapter. Wild Frontier demanded a lot of everyone involved, in a location and on a timeline that
left little room for error. That’s the kind of challenge our teams are built for, and we’re excited to
help bring it to screen.”

Chantal Boyle, Creative Director, Lifted Entertainment added: “A format this ambitious only
works with partners you can rely on completely. Wild Frontier takes I’m A Celebrity somewhere
new, and Gravity Media gave us confidence that the technical side would hold up wherever we
took it.”
