Panasonic Connect Europe today announced the release of new integrated software for its media processors – the ET-FMP50 Series. Available immediately, this new software is designed exclusively for all three media processors in the FMP50 Series to simplify and streamline the whole workflow process, from advanced set-up to content management. It provides installers and technical operators with intuitive and seamless control of large-scale, multiple projector immersive experiences from a single platform.
The software seamlessly integrates cutting-edge screen adjustment capabilities, including precise geometry correction, with comprehensive content management functions when using the FMP50 Series.
During installation and set-up, technicians can use auto screen adjustment to make multiple, complex alterations to create immersive visual effects with unparalleled accuracy. With pixel-by-pixel adjustment, it ensures precise and detailed fine-tuning, enhancing post-adjustment image quality. This results in a smoother, more refined finish that faithfully reproduces intricate details, elevating the overall visual experience. Functionality includes: Geometry correction, content splitting, edge blending, black level adjustment, colour matching and masking.
In addition, by using the content management functionality everything required for automating content playback from multiple media is provided. Users can effortlessly register multiple content types, such as still images and videos, create playlists, and schedule daily, monthly, or even yearly timetables with ease.
With this new software, the FMP50 Series becomes a powerful solution for projects requiring multiple projectors, whether used independently or combined to create immersive environments. This combination provides unmatched flexibility and precision, making it an ideal choice for a wide range of applications.
The FMP50 Series of media processors, launched earlier in the year, include two box-type devices (ET-FMP50/FMP20) and an Intel® SDM specification slot-compatible function board (ET-SBFMP10). Tailored specifically for large multi-projection environments, the FMP50 and FMP20 models are a compact form factor for installation near Panasonic projectors to reduce cabling, or for use in a standard rack with an optional rack mounting kit. They support a 3840 x 2160p content canvas[1] output via 4x HDMI™. Multiple units can be synced to connect fleets of any scale. The SBFMP10 model inserts into the compatible projector’s Intel®SDM-ready slot to decode 3840 x 2160p signals. Device connection is via a single LAN cable.
“This latest software with our FMP50 Series enables integrators to build immersive experiences in a faster, more streamlined and cost-effective way. Our partners can control, manage and adjust everything in preparation and on-site for their projects. In the Panasonic projection ecosystem, this solution streamlines cabling and installation, enhances interoperability and enables quick and easy programming and adjustments or readjustments as required,” explained Hartmut Kulessa, European Marketing Manager for Visual System Solutions at Panasonic Connect Europe. “Moving forward, we will continue to add functionality to thisgame-changing application software platform including remote operation and monitoring.”
