Appear to Take on the Dragon Ride and Three Peaks Challenge in Support of Rise and Young Lives vs Cancer
Rise, the gender diversity network for the media technology industry, today announced that Appear ASA (OSE: APR), a global leader in live production technology, is to undertake two major charitable challenges this year to raise £125,000 in support of Rise and Young Lives vs Cancer.
Appear’s team, together with customers and partners, will take on both the Dragon Ride in South Wales and the Three Peaks Challenge across Scotland, England and Wales. These efforts reflect Appear’s commitment to positive action, bringing together like-minded people around causes that matter to the business, Appear staff and the wider industry.
Funds raised will be split between the two charities. Rise was founded in 2017 to support and promote women working across the non-craft areas of broadcast media technology, across operations, engineering, sales, marketing, and business. Now a global network with a presence at major industry events, including IBC, NAB, and Broadcast Asia, Rise runs mentoring programmes, community initiatives, awards, and sector-specific training.
Appear will also support Young Lives vs Cancer, a charity that provides vital support to children and young people with cancer and their families. It is the only charity in the UK with specialist social workers who provide tailored support to children and young people with cancer, and their families.
