Rise, the award-winning advocacy group for gender diversity in the broadcast media technology sector, has announced the shortlist for this year’s awards.
With over 300 nominations from across the globe, judges saw a huge selection of women, men and companies across a variety of roles.
The Woman of the Year, sponsored by Zixi, is chosen by the Rise Advisory Board and will be announced at the ceremony. The Student of the Year, sponsored by SMPTE, shortlist will be announced in October 2023.
In partnership with Sky and EMG, the awards ceremony will be held on the 7th November at Troxy in London and streamed live. Also bringing the global event to life will be Cuescript, providing the teleprompting.
Rise Founder, Sadie Groom, said: “We were overwhelmed by the response we had in the fifth year of Rise Awards, with triple the amount of applications we have had in the past.
“We are grateful for everyone who submitted an entry on the inspiring women in their workplaces and extend big congratulations to all those shortlisted. We all look forward to celebrating amazing women and diversity allies at the 7th of November.”
