Global broadcast leader to deliver immersive, next-generation production for The International Swimming League’s All-Star Match on 19th December in London

The International Swimming League (“ISL”) today announced the appointment of Gravity Media, global leader in live production and content and media services and facilities, as its official Broadcast Content and Production Partner.

The partnership is focused on the League’s highly anticipated relaunch event, the ISL All-Star Match. The one-night event takes place at the London Aquatics Centre in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, on Saturday 19thDecember 2026, marking a bold new chapter for the League and for how swimming is experienced by fans worldwide as ISL returns to the pool.

The ISL All-Star Match is a one-night, two-hour showcase of the world’s fastest swimmers in a unique team-based, two–hour head-to-head competition. The competition will be contested by four teams built on a geographical principle: the United States, the Commonwealth, Europe and the Rest of the World, with each comprised of the leading athletes from their respective region, bringing the world’s best male and female swimmers together under four banners. This is not a heats-and-finals meet: every race counts, every touch of the water moves the scoreboard, and only one team leaves London crowned as champions.

The partnership brings together ISL’s mission to reimagine competitive swimming as fast-paced, fan-first entertainment with Gravity Media’s three decades of expertise in producing complex, multi-camera live events at the highest international standard. Together, the two organisations will deliver a broadcast experience built around viewer engagement, creative storytelling, and visual spectacle, transforming the pool into an arena of world-class television production.

For the All-Star Match, Gravity Media will deploy a comprehensive production package designed to bring fans closer to the action than ever before, including:

Underwater and specialist cameras that will deliver unprecedented views of strokes, turns and underwater technique

Robotic rail camera systems, capable of dynamic, high-speed moving shots around the pool deck at speeds of up to 13 m/s to bring cinematic energy to every race

Gyro-stabilized robotic camera systems with 3-axis stabilization and 8K-ready capability to deliver fluid, broadcast-grade visuals across the venue

Starting block and finish-line robotic mini-cams, engineered for precision coverage of race-defining moments

Optional real-time data integration, including augmented reality graphics, live tracking and swimmer profiles layered directly into the broadcast feed

The production will be supported by Gravity Media’s full-service OB fleet and 6,000 sqm Production Centre in Cologno Monzese, Italy, ensuring world-class technical execution from the camera to final delivery.

“We are creating a visual spectacle that captures the speed, athleticism and drama of our event in a way audiences have never experienced,” said Mario Medeiros, Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer, ISL. “Gravity Media shares our vision of pushing creative and technical boundaries, and their track record with major international sporting events makes them the ideal partner as we relaunch the ISL on the global stage.”

Claudio Cavalotti – Gravity Media’s Italy Managing Director commented:

“With the International Swimming League, we aim to bring the storytelling of swimming into a new dimension, transforming live sports production into an increasingly immersive and engaging experience. Today, technology allows us to capture the competition from entirely new perspectives: from above and below the water, through robotic systems and dynamic poolside cameras, to the integration of data and digital content. Our goal is not only to showcase the athletes’ performances, but also to convey the speed, energy and emotion that make this format so modern and appealing to younger audiences.

This is a production challenge that requires precision, flexibility and a constant drive to innovate, with every technology serving the story being told. The project also reflects Gravity Media Italy‘s international experience in delivering some of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, where operational reliability and innovation must go hand in hand.

For us, covering the ISL All-Star Match in London means helping to define a new way of experiencing swimming content, while giving audiences the opportunity to feel truly immersed in the competition. This is the direction in which we will continue to invest: using our expertise and the most advanced technologies to transform every major sporting event into a truly memorable experience.”
