TMT Insights, which specialises in professional services and software development for the media and entertainment industry, is highlighting major enhancements to its Polaris operational management software platform at IBC 2023.

In addition to showcasing the expanded capabilities of Polaris, TMT is also highlighting the upcoming launch of a new TMT services group, recent customer engagements and industry collaborations and its latest efforts to further Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion.

TMT will conduct ongoing demonstrations of its Polaris operational management software platform in a unique environment, on a boat docked at the RAI.

The platform is designed to give professionals a “single pane of glass” view of the entire media supply chain: ingest, localization, editing, QC and end-to-end content delivery.

In addition to demonstrating Polaris, TMT will discuss its key upgrades and highlight current customer applications.

“Polaris can deliver long-term value for organizations regardless of where their other business process systems are in terms of development maturity, or if they are a mix of legacy and new technologies,” said Hannah Barnhardt, COO, and co-founder of TMT Insights.

“There’s no one entry point to begin using Polaris and the platform’s continued evolution into new areas like localization will further widen its audience.”

Cloud-based localization is a natural extension of Polaris.

The platform is already facilitating approximately 200,000 subtitle conforms and 50,000 audio dub conforms for customers, and localization is a critical link to other Polaris-enabled functions in the media supply chain such as full ordering and task management.

At NAB 2023, TMT announced that Sky as well as Crunchyroll, the international anime brand, had selected Polaris to enable end-to-end operational control and visibility across their global content supply chains.

TMT is announcing the formation of a new division, Media Operations, which will provide access to a team of media experts with years of experience on both the technical and operational side that can liaise between customer’s IT and content operations groups.

At a time when companies are lowering headcount, we’re providing staffing to support a lower cost – more predictable – support approach to sustain our customers businesses.

This team will provide the ability to build and maintain media workflows, distribution onboarding support, tool testing, and various R&D initiatives leveraging industry best practices and the latest advances in media technology and tooling.

The company will formally announce the new group and its leadership in August 2023.
