Partnership includes native Zixi protocol support in the Kiloview D350 decoder, giving broadcasters a single device for reliable, low-latency video contribution over any network
Zixi, the leader in live video delivery and workflow orchestration, and Kiloview, a leading provider of professional IP video encoding and decoding solutions, today announced a partnership to bring the reliability of the Zixi protocol to a wider range of live production and contribution workflows. As a first deliverable of the partnership, Kiloview has added native Zixi protocol support to its D350 IP video decoder through a new firmware update, available now.
The partnership reflects growing demand from broadcasters and media organizations for flexible, interoperable IP infrastructure that performs reliably under real-world conditions. Zixi is widely deployed across broadcast contribution workflows where network stability cannot be guaranteed, and the addition of Zixi to the D350 gives joint customers a direct path to those capabilities without additional hardware or protocol conversion.
For broadcast and media teams, the partnership delivers:
- Reliable video delivery over any network: Zixi’s error correction and hitless failover technology ensures stable contribution feeds even over unmanaged or unpredictable connections, from remote venues to cellular and internet links.
- Simplified infrastructure: a single D350 unit now handles multiple protocols including Zixi, reducing the hardware footprint and operational complexity for contribution and monitoring workflows.
- Seamless fit into broadcast pipelines: joint customers can integrate Zixi-enabled D350 decoders directly into existing broadcast-grade contribution architectures without changes to upstream or downstream systems.
- Broader workflow coverage: from live sports and remote production to news contribution and hybrid IP and broadcast environments, the D350 now supports a wider range of real-world production scenarios.
“Broadcast and media organizations are building contribution workflows that need to perform reliably over whatever network is available,” said Marc Aldrich, CEO, Zixi. “Our partnership with Kiloview brings Zixi’s proven transport capabilities directly into their hardware ecosystem. For customers working across live sports, news and remote production, that means one fewer integration problem to solve and one more device they can rely on in the field.”
“At Kiloview, our goal has always been to give customers the flexibility to build reliable IP video workflows with the protocols and technologies that best fit their needs,” said Judy Zuo, VP for Sales and Marketing at Kiloview. “Native Zixi support on the D350 gives customers more flexibility across different network environments, and we look forward to expanding our collaboration through deeper product integration and joint marketing initiatives.”
The Zixi protocol support is available now on the D350 via firmware update and can be applied to existing units. The partnership will extend to further integration and go-to-market activity between the two companies.
The partnership will be showcased at IBC 2026, 12-15 September at the RAI Amsterdam. Kiloview will demonstrate the Zixi-enabled D350 at stand 7.A47. Zixi will be exhibiting at stand 5.A76.
