Cinegy GmbH has delivered a new four-channel playout system at Tanzanian Broadcasting Corporation (TBC).
The system was negotiated, designed and installed by Britt Broadcast.
Britt Broadcast Ltd is a leading broadcast systems integrator based in Nairobi with operations across East Africa and Ghana.
It specializes in providing innovative solutions tailored for the broadcast networks and customers across the region and represents major vendors in the market.
Tanzanian Broadcasting Corporation, the national broadcaster in Tanzania with headquarters in Dar-Es-Salaam, operates under government ownership and oversight.
TBC was looking to expand its network and recognized the need for a reliable multi Channel-in-a-Box solution (CIAB) that would support the broadcast set up they were looking to build and with a quick time to market, intuitive GUI and easy to operate.
To address this, they turned to Britt Broadcast, a trusted industry partner with extensive experience.
Britt Broadcast recommended and implemented Cinegy Air PRO as the ideal solution to meet this specific requirement, significantly enhancing the network’s broadcasting capabilities.
Cinegy Air PRO is a software solution providing comprehensive channel origination functionality with a single server able to support multiple channels at resolutions from SD to 8k, including mixed formats on each output.
This single-point solution was important for TBC, with logo and overlay insertion, subtitling and automated control of external devices all included in the software.
Also important to TBC was the ease of integration into its data networks. Cinegy Air PRO provides native support for SDI, NDI and IP streams, including SRT for secure delivery.
Charles Karanja Mwangi, technical manager of Britt Broadcast, added: “We were delighted to demonstrate Cinegy’s capabilities to TBC.
“We crafted a package that could be swiftly delivered, complete with training to expedite their on-air operations and ongoing support for the years ahead.”
