Atomos Unveils Its Broadest NAB Showcase Yet

For many years, Atomos has helped filmmakers and content creators unlock more from their cameras with products like Ninja, Shinobi, Shogun, and Sumo. At NAB 2026, that story expands dramatically. From on-camera monitor-recorders to on-set collaboration tools, rack-mounted live production systems, cloud-based production services, audio accessories, PTZ solutions, workflow tools, and now trusted reference-grade monitoring for postproduction and finishing, Atomos is building a far more complete ecosystem for modern production.

With products like Ninja and Shogun, Atomos Unveils Its Broadest NAB Showcase Yet, catering to modern filmmakers.

Leading the announcements on the booth is the introduction of Sumo PRO-19, a new 19-inch 4K HDR monitor recorder switcher designed for multi-camera monitoring, on-set review and video village workflows. Building on the Sumo legacy, it adds camera control, integrated Wi-Fi and Ethernet, camera to cloud connectivity, NDI HX3, AirGlu™ timecode sync, and CFexpress recording, positioning it as a central hub for on set collaboration. It sits alongside the existing and expanded Ninja family, including Ninja RAW, Ninja TX GO, and Ninja TX, which continue to strengthen Atomos’ position in on-camera monitoring and recording.

Atomos is also expanding further into broadcast, live production, and multi camera workflows with Shogun AV-19, a 19-inch rackmount 4K HDR monitor recorder switcher, now with optional Shogun AV Fly Pack, designed to make the system more practical for road use and mobile deployment. Together they extend the Atomos range into studio, corporate, event, and broadcast environments, adding another layer to the company’s end-to-end workflow offering.

For PTZ production, Atomos is showcasing the A-Eye camera family, including HD and 4K models with AI tracking, alongside the A-Eye Control and the new A-Eye Controller Pro. The Controller Pro supports up to 254 cameras, including non-Atomos brands, and is designed to simplify advanced multi-camera PTZ operation with a 7-inch HD touchscreen, motion path recording, tally feedback, and broad protocol support including NDI, VISCA, VISCA IP, Pelco, and P and D. This expands Atomos’ reach into live events, education, worship, corporate production, and studio control environments.

Beyond video, Atomos is also broadening its ecosystem with new audio and workflow accessories. These include the StudioSonic Shotgun Mic, StudioSonic Pro wired production headphones, new StudioSonic Air wireless and wired headphones, a new USB4 CFexpress Card Reader, and the FieldPro Vest, a wearable carry solution for creators working in the field. These additions reflect Atomos’ growing focus on practical production tools that support real world creator workflows, not just image capture.

Another major NAB highlight is the continued evolution of ATOMOSphere, the company’s cloud-based production platform. At the show, Atomos is debuting the new ATOMOSphere Editor, which allows users to begin editing directly in the cloud without downloading media first, alongside Ground Control, a desktop application that connects ATOMOSphere projects directly to a user’s computer. Together, these additions strengthen the link between on-set capture, cloud storage, collaboration, editing, review, approval, and delivery, all within a single workflow environment. Every ATOMOSphere account starts with 20GB of free storage, making the platform immediately accessible to new users.

The biggest strategic announcement, however, is Atomos’ acquisition of Flanders Scientific. This significantly strengthens Atomos’ position in professional monitoring by adding one of the industry’s most trusted names in reference displays. With this move, Atomos now spans the full monitoring workflow, from on-camera monitoring with Shinobi and Ninja, to on-set workflows with Sumo, to broadcast and rack-mounted production with Shogun AV, and now through to reference grade monitoring for postproduction, mastering, and final delivery with FSI. Importantly, Flanders Scientific will continue to operate as a distinct brand within the Atomos family, preserving the product philosophy, engineering approach, and trust that professionals already rely on.

Atomos’ acquisition of Flanders Scientific is a major highlight as Atomos Unveils Its Broadest NAB Showcase Yet.

This acquisition matters because reference-grade monitoring is not simply about higher specifications. It is about trust, validation, and industry acceptance in demanding professional workflows. By bringing FSI into the group, Atomos gains credibility and capability at the highest tier of the market, while giving customers a broader monitoring pathway from acquisition to delivery. It also reinforces the wider Atomos message at NAB, which is that the company is no longer only building individual devices, it is building a connected production ecosystem with the range and depth to support creators, crews, broadcasters, and postproduction professionals at every stage of the process.

With this acquisition, Atomos Unveils Its Broadest NAB Showcase Yet, offering enhanced credibility and capabilities.

Visitors to NAB will see this broader vision in action across the Atomos booth, with new products spanning monitor-recorders, audio, PTZ, storage workflow, cloud collaboration, and creator accessories. Atomos is inviting visitors to take part in daily booth demos, with a daily prize draw at 5pm on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday for the chance each day to win a Shinobi II and a Ninja RAW.
