New Media Orchestration and Operations Management Platform builds on Content Exchange to simplify complex hybrid workflows and accelerate the deployment of new media services

Globecast, a leading provider of broadcast, media and entertainment managed services, will unveil the next phase of its transformation at IBC2026 with a preview of MooM, its new Media Orchestration and Operations Management Platform.

Building on the market adoption of Content Exchange, MooM demonstrates how Globecast is evolving beyond traditional signal transport to become an end-to-end media operations partner. Visitors can explore the new platform on Stand 5.A61, Hall 5.

Introduced last year, Content Exchange established a unified, software-defined orchestration layer across satellite, fibre, IP and cloud infrastructure. Since then, the platform has been deployed across multiple sports and media workflows, demonstrating its value in demanding live production and distribution environments while giving customers greater visibility and control over content acquisition and delivery.

MooM, is a cloud-native SaaS platform designed to bring remote production, playout, media asset management, content preparation, headend and OTT delivery workflows into a single operational environment. By replacing fragmented control layers with a unified interface for greater visibility, automation and management across increasingly complex operations.

Built for hybrid environments, MooM can operate across AWS, OCI and private infrastructure, enabling resources and costs to be dynamically optimised through integrated FinOps and AI-powered Ops capabilities. By abstracting the underlying technology, MooM enables media organisations to scale services more predictably, launch live events and channels faster, simplify workflows, and test new services and monetisation models without significant upfront capital investment.

Content Exchange: proven orchestration for modern media delivery

Content Exchange remains central to Globecast’s strategy and will be showcased with its latest enhancements at IBC2026. Powered by AWS, OCI, and on-prem resources the platform orchestrates live and file-based content across satellite, fibre, IP and cloud resources through a centralised interface, with real-time monitoring and automated provisioning designed to support high-performance, low-latency media delivery at global scale. Its role-based portal simplifies regional distribution and taker provisioning, enabling rights holders, broadcasters, sports organisations and streaming platforms to manage multiple feeds and tailored outputs with greater speed and control. Content Exchange also provides a practical pathway from traditional satellite delivery to IP and cloud-based models, allowing organisations to modernise at their own pace without disrupting existing operations.

A reimagined global operating model

The platform strategy is supported by Globecast’s wider technological and operational transformation across its six Media Services Centers in Westlake Village, London, Paris, Singapore, Johannesburg and Rome. Over the past year, Globecast has continued to replace hardware-intensive infrastructure with virtualised, cloud-enabled environments, including the modernisation of its Americas, APAC and European operations. This evolution is improving operational efficiency, scalability and sustainability while maintaining the resilience required for always-on media services.

“Media organisations do not need more technology silos; they need a simpler way to make their existing investments and new cloud services work as one,” said Jean-Christophe Perier, Chief Marketing Officer at Globecast. “Content Exchange has demonstrated the value of intelligent orchestration across media transport. With MooM, we are extending that approach across the broader operational environment, giving customers the visibility, flexibility and managed expertise they need to innovate while we handle the complexity, resilience and scale.”

Together, Content Exchange and MooM reflect Globecast’s open, technology-agnostic approach to media transformation. Rather than requiring customers to replace established systems or adopt a closed ecosystem, Globecast integrates existing infrastructure with cloud and software-defined services, backed by 24/7 managed operations and decades of experience supporting high-profile live events and global media distribution.
