EMG / Gravity Media, a world leading global provider of complex live creative production and media services, in collaboration with TEG Sport, today outlined the complete broadcast technology and television production undertaking for the Australian and global all-screens coverage of this year’s Race of Champions, held for the first time in Australia.

Appointed by TEG Sport as the host broadcast company for the event, EMG / Gravity Media Australia’s technology, logistics and production undertaking saw the deployment of state-of-the-art high definition outside broadcast trucks and satellite units and more than 25 cameras, coupled with cellular and cloud-based technologies, and EMG / Gravity Media’s internationally acknowledged in-car speciality miniature cameras and RF communications solutions designed and developed in Australia.

Beyond providing broadcast technologies and as “host” broadcast company for the Australian and international coverage, EMG / Gravity Media Australia also delivered the specific broadcast and technology requirements for the Network Ten and 10 Play coverage of the Race of Champions held over two nights on a purpose built track taking centre stage at Accor Stadium in Sydney.

The Race of Champions is renowned for gathering some of the best drivers in the world, including superstars from Formula 1, Le Mans, NASCAR, Supercars, World Rally and World Rallycross.

This year’s Race of Champions in Sydney included: 4-time Formula 1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel, 10-time Formula 1 Grand Prix Winner Valtteri Bottas, 9-time FIA World Rally Champion Sébastien Loeb, Supercars champion Brodie Kostecki, reigning Supercars champion Will Brown, Bathurst 1000 winner Chaz Mostert, 13-time Formula 1 Grand Prix Winner David Coulthard, Extreme E champion Molly Taylor, 11-time X-Games Gold medallist Travis Pastrana, former F1 driver and current WEC driver Mick Schumacher, 7-time FIA World Rallycross Champion Johan Kristoffersson, 2-time European Rally Champion Hayden Paddon, father and son rally champions Petter and Oliver Solberg, 2-time Dakar winner Toby Price, NASCAR champion Kurt Busch and Kiwi Formula star Louis Sharp.
